The System-Restore feature

Tweak-XP can create System-Restore points using the System Restore feature of Windows XP. One Restore-Point is automatically created by installing Tweak-XP and on the very first start of the program. When you uninstall Tweak-XP, your system will be switched back to the state it was before installing Tweak-XP.
If you experience system failure or another significant problem, you can use System Restore to go back to a previous system state, restoring optimal system functionality. System Restore will not revert user data or document files, so restoring will not cause you to lose your work, mail, or even browsing history and favorites. System Restore is also available to you in safe mode, making it easier for you to roll back your PC to a time before a problem occurred.

For detailled information on the System-Restore feature of Windows XP, please check the Windows XP help file or documentation.

How to create a System-Restore point from within Tweak-XP:

  • Type in the name of your restore point to be created - choose a meaningfull name - that makes it easier to identify each restore point !

  • Click the 'Create System-Restore oint now' button.

  • The System-Restore point will be created - this might take a moment...

  • To display all System-Restore points that were created on your machine, click the 'Display all System-Restore Points' link.

  • To open the Windows System restore point application, click the 'Open System-Restore Program' link. From within this Windows application you can switch back your system to any system-restore point.
